Getting started with tweetymail

Once verified, you can use this email address to send and receive emails through tweetymail. Here are some quick tips (see the user guide for more details):

Use Twitter by sending emails

  • Tweet - Send an email to tweet@tweetymail.com. You can include text in the subject and/or body of your email, and you can attach pictures too! All links (URLs) in the body will be shortened for you. If you have FULL or MAX access to tweetymail, you can post tweets longer than 140 characters by sending an email to post@tweetymail.com instead.
  • Receive tweets - Send an email to latest@tweetymail.com and tweetymail will reply with the latest tweets from the people you follow.
  • Send direct messages - Send an email to message@tweetymail.com with the Twitter username of the person you want to direct message in the subject line. Be sure to write a message in the email body before you send!
  • Follow somebody - Send an email to follow@tweetymail.com with the Twitter username of the person you want to follow in the subject line.

Receive tweets and mentions automatically

Do you want mentions, search results, or other tweets delivered automatically to this email address? Sign in to your tweetymail account, go to the Alerts tab, and create your own alerts. If you have FULL or MAX access to tweetymail, you can even reply and retweet directly from your inbox!

Did you know?

  • tweetymail can automatically ignore text you include at the end of every email (known as your email signature). Sign in to your tweetymail account, click on the settings link for this email address, and enter the first few words of your signature in the Email Signature field.
  • tweetymail fully supports international characters. Just make sure your email client is configured to use UTF-8 character encoding.
